Reinventions: Building, binding and weaving an arch

Here’s our guide to building, binding and weaving an arch by artist Martha van der Muelen. Learn how to:

  • Make an arch using natural and recycled materials.
  • Explore and adapt the structure to use as base for other objects.

The aim of the workshop is to introduce children to creating an arch structure, which then has open-ended possibilities for adaptation and as a base for making other objects, and which can be made using many other types of recycled materials.
