Grandad built our house – A book about construction safety

A book about construction safety by children from all over Ireland

Combining poignant advice and cautionary tales, 89 primary school children across Ireland share their knowledge and experience of the high-risk construction industry, with the aim of spreading awareness amongst families employed in construction.

The children explore family perspectives on the life and work of a builder, working around machinery and equipment hazards, the risks for children in entering construction sites, the use of safety clothing and many other construction safety issues in a book filled with their artwork and writing.

Commissioned by the Health and Safety Authority and created in partnership with Kilkenny Education Centre and the ATECI.
