Description

This book is the work of a group of children from the Traveller Community and their friends. The theme of the book ‘friendship’, raised a number of interesting issues for the children which are reflected in their stories.

In order to create an experiential workshop, Traveller and settled children came together to explore the theme of friendship. The workshops became a kind of melting pot that used the group dynamics to stimulate creative thinking, no just to write and create images about friendship.

‘It was like a journey that took many different paths along the way but the children chose their own path to produce these great stories, and every achievement whether big or small begins with… I’ll try.’

– Ian Kearney, Navan School Completion Programme
