TADA! Opens at F.E McWilliam Gallery and Studio

We had great fun at the preview of the Kids’ Own TADA! exhibition at F.E McWilliam Gallery and Studios in Banbridge, County Down.  TADA! is an exhibition for children by children that showcases creative ideas, artwork and children’s voices from more than 25 years of collaborative art-based projects. The exhibition runs until 25th May 2024 and we encourage everyone to visit.

Our associate artist Vanya Lambrecht-Ward curated the exhibition in 2021, from her work with different groups of young people, supported the development of this part of the exhibition tour.

Artist Sharon Kelly hosted a family workshop where she guided the participants on how to use collage and drawing techniques to create a self-portrait as a bird, inspired by the arrival of spring and the return of birds to this part of the world. Each family were able to take one of their creations home and one was  put on display as part of the exhibition.

A big thank you to Brenda Kearney who managed the exhibition and got it up and running. Thanks to everyone at F.E McWilliam for their support and for being such wonderful hosts, with special thanks to Riann Coulter.

We are looking forward to sharing some of the highlights from the engagement programme to accompany the exhibition as it continues, so keep your eyes peeled for that!
