Recommended age: 3-6

This book can be used to nurture a culture of kindness and care in early years settings in a creative way.

Description

This book on the gift of kindness can be used in any early years setting, linking with all the themes of Aistear (the Early Childhood Curriculum framework) but, in particular, with the theme of well-being. One of the aims under the theme of well-being is that children will “be strong psychologically and socially”.

To include kindness as part of the curriculum teaches children to think about their feelings and provides opportunities for them to experience and share kindness.
