Kids’ Own and Ecclesiastical Insurance Celebrate Special Recognition at Business to Arts Awards

On Monday, Kids’ Own joined Ecclesiastical Insurance at the Business to Arts Awards, where their collaboration on the St Cecilia’s School project earned Special Judges’ Recognition. The awards ceremony took place at the National Concert Hall, where guests enjoyed canapés, drinks, and live entertainment from top Irish artists. The event was a celebration of partnerships between businesses and arts organisations across Ireland.

Recognition for Art in the Community

Ecclesiastical Insurance won the award for their Movement for Good initiative, recognising their support for projects that bring art to life. One of their standout projects was the work they did with Kids’ Own on St Cecilia’s School in Sligo. This project, called “Art for Everyone,” helped children and young people with learning disabilities explore their creativity through hands-on activities.

Together with artist Anna Spearman and teacher Triona O’Dowd, the students experimented with textures, painting natural materials, and even visiting a nearby fairy fort. Their journey of discovery was showcased in a new book called That’s Me, read all about that here.

Partnerships Across the Arts

Ecclesiastical Insurance didn’t just work with us at Kids’ Own. They also supported projects with the Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA) and Wexford Festival Opera. Their dedication to encouraging and supporting creativity in communities across Ireland is inspiring, and it was great to see them recognised for their work in multiple areas of the arts.

A Night to Remember

The Business to Arts Awards was an unforgettable evening. The atmosphere was lively, and everyone looked their best as we gathered to celebrate the positive impact of arts and business working together. We’re proud to be part of this recognition and grateful for the ongoing support from Ecclesiastical Insurance.
