Donaghey Primary School – Virtually There exhibition

Through our eleven–year partnership we have learned to:

  • value the core three-way relationship between children, teacher and artist
  • make space for creativity within a busy school curriculum
  • use the curriculum as a root for artistic experimentation
  • plan very carefully while keeping the process open
  • take risks
  • take time, slow down look and look again
  • absorb
  • repeat, knowing that it’s never the same
  • trust the children to shape the process
  • find a dynamic balance between process and outcome
  • play
  • celebrate the magical moments
