The last few sessions of our Cranmore Community Garden project ‘Four Seasons In Our Garden’ are upon us. Our Project Manager Lorna Kavanagh gives us her thoughts below;
“After a lovely summer break filled with adventures, we were delighted to reconnect with the Cranmore Garden Project group yesterday. Our project, which explores environmental sustainability within a community garden setting, is now back in full swing as we continue to explore our surroundings, discuss environmental issues, and strengthen our community ties. With only a few sessions remaining before we explore the design work for our book, (watch this space and keep an eye out for that!) we’re enjoying these final opportunities to engage in creative conversations about sustainability and further bond as an intergenerational group. Yesterday, we were especially delighted to welcome back Brenda Kearney. We had a fun, hands-on session with baking using ingredients from the garden, creating mushroom and cheese pies as well as fennel shortbread biscuits. It was a very tasty session indeed!!”
This project is kindly funded by Creative Climate Action Fund from Creative Ireland.
