The 2012 strand of Virtually There virtual artist in residence programme is drawing to a close. The project has run for the last twelve weeks in schools in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.  2012 saw the first time the virtual residency was brought to the Republic, with participation from St. Thomas’ Junior National School in Tallaght, south Dublin.

2012 is the third year that Virtually There has run, and each year the project has grown. The workshops from this year have been documented on an online journals page which documents posts from the artists, the teachers and the children involved. The journal entries can be found here.

Using work from this years project, an interactive book will be published soon documenting some of the activities and workshops involved. More information will follow here.
