Virtually There: All the action from our launch at The Education Centre, Tralee

The Virtually There exhibition has moved to…. Tralee! Kids’ Own was delighted to launch this third leg of our national touring exhibition at The Education Centre Tralee on Friday 24th October, with an audience of artists, teachers and children from local schools in Ardfert and Raheen, who will be participating in a pilot of the project until late spring 2015 with artists Vanya Lambrecht Ward and Ruby Wallis.

The exhibition was officially opened by Councillor Jim Finucane, Mayor of Tralee, following a morning of activity in which the children took part in workshops led by exhibiting artist Sharon Kelly, and Vanya Lambrecht Ward who connected virtually from her studio in County Sligo.

Following the opening, artists and teachers were invited to participate in a facilitated session, exploring and discussing the exhibition with Kids’ Own Creative Director Orla Kenny and artist Sharon Kelly.

The exhibition is on show at The Education Centre until Friday 21st November.
