‘On The Farm’ Competition For Primary Schools – Closing Date May 14th

The Health and Safety Authority (HSA) with the network of Education Centres, is organising an ‘On The Farm’ Competition for primary schools nationwide. The competition is aimed at raising awareness among children and their families about the critical issue of safety on farms.

Children participating in the ‘On The Farm’ competition do not have to be from a farming background, as many children visit the farms of relations and friends, especially during the summer months.

The winning students will receive:

  • €75 each and a Certificate of Achievement from the HSA.
  • An opportunity to spend one day working with a writer and an artist to create a new book.

The book, created by children, will be published by the HSA in 2013 in conjunction with Kids’ Own Publishing Partnership and the network of full time Education Centres.
