About Kids’ Own
Established in 1997, Kids’ Own is a children’s arts organisation and publishing house, driven by a passionate belief in the intrinsic value of the arts. We work to give children greater access to cultural expression and to actively create, enquire, communicate and make meaning through the arts. Our ethos is rooted in professional arts practice and through professionally published outputs (in print and online) we elevate the status of children’s voices and artwork and bring these to a wider audience. With a strong social justice agenda, we support children of all backgrounds and abilities to be seen and heard in our society. We recognise that children have multiple modes of expression and we promote ways of working that encourage and support this.
For over 25 years, we have developed a wide range of projects with children and young people, to ensure that they have the opportunity to access meaningful engagement with the arts, and to have their voices and creativity heard and respected more widely in society.
The role of Grant Writer
In order to develop and facilitate these projects with children and young people, Kids’ Own seeks funding from a wide range of sources. As the organisation grows, we are committed to developing links with a broader range of funders, and want to dedicate attention to potential EU funding streams.
