The Board of Directors of Kids’ Own Publishing Partnership is delighted to announce the appointment of Ciara Gallagher to the post of Chief Executive Officer/Creative Director.

Ciara has been working with Kids’ Own since 2018 as project manager, and has been involved in various aspects of the organisation’s development over these years. Ciara has a background in academia, including postdoctoral research on children’s books. She has taught in a number of universities in Ireland and has worked in various positions in the non-profit and public sector.

Ciara strongly believes in the value of hearing children and young people’s voices through the arts. She is excited to work with the Kids’ Own board, staff team, and associate artists to develop, publish and promote artwork and writing created by children. Ciara looks forward to continuing the rich legacy of Kids’ Own’s work developed over the last 25 years.
