In 2023 Kids’ Own worked with SMILY LGBTQ+ Youth Group to create an animated video that explores self-expression in an artistic and playful way and that allowed the group to observe and reference some of the things that are a feature of their lives.  We are delighted to share that video “Metamorphs” with you today!

Assisted by our associate-writers Mary Branley and Sarah O’Keeffe, and animator Fergal Brennan the participants had great fun with this creative outlet and have made a very special video.

Mary said of the project “Congratulations to the SMILY participants on their new video Metamorphs. They were a hard working, fun loving, group who sang their way through all the workshops as they created tons of sketches for the animation. We look forward to meeting again in a new creative project.”
