We are excited to announce that The Kids’ Own Book Factory will be coming to dlr LexIcon, the new Central Library and Cultural Centre in Dun Laoghaire, from 4-14 February. Kids’ Own will provide an energised, creative space where children can develop artwork and writing alongside a professional writer and artist and create their own 8-page book broadly exploring the theme of ‘Horizons: Aspirations, dreams and visions for the future’. Children will be able to respond to the new library environment, creating a unique body of work which will be on display for other library users to view.

The Book Factory family workshops will take place in the Children’s Library on Saturday 7th and 14th February from 11.30am-1.30pm and 2.30pm-4.30pm. The workshops will also engage local schools from 9.30am-11.30am and 12.00pm-2.00pm on the same dates.
