This week, we have been reflecting on our projects that have been funded by the Department of Foreign Affairs Reconciliation Fund over many years. We’re delighted to share an evaluation by Dr Bryonie Reid of our current project funded by the Reconciliation Fund, a cross-border Young Writers group that has been in operation since 2018.  The project was designed on a cross-border basis, to bring together young people from Derry and Letterkenny and their hinterlands to work with writer Mary Branley, to allow young people a safe space to express themselves creatively through writing. .

Here, Bryonie reports on the project from conception of the Young Writers Group in 2018 through to 2o21, the writing processes, the workshops and the trial and tribulations of the groups meeting up during the pandemic.
