This past Friday, we gathered for a cozy and festive evening to celebrate a truly special milestone: the launch of our latest book A Year in Our Garden. Over the last year, an intergenerational group came together in their local community garden to work on this meaningful project. From planning and planting to harvesting and documenting, the collaboration has been a wonderful journey of learning, creativity, and connection.
Working with Cranmore Co-Op has been an absolute pleasure; their unwavering support and encouragement helped make this project a success. The evening was a true celebration of the group’s hard work and the vibrant community spirit behind the book.
Guests enjoyed freshly prepared seasonal food by one of the project artists Brenda Kearney, with support from some members of the group, and participated in art activities led by project artists Naomi Draper and Sarah Lundy. To add a special touch, we handed out seed bombs crafted by young participants earlier in the year and gave everyone a copy of the book, accompanied by unique bookmarks made from our homemade pumpkin leaf paper—a nod to the sustainability and creativity that defined the project.
We are so proud of all the hard work that went into producing this beautiful book, and Friday’s event was the perfect way to honour everyone who made it possible.
Looking ahead, we’re excited to share A Year in Our Garden with you.
Thanks to Creative Ireland’s Climate Action funding, as well as our wonderful partners Cranmore Community Co-Op Garden, this project has blossomed into something truly special. Stay tuned—we can’t wait to share the book with you soon!
