Susanna Galbraith is a writer, editor and researcher from East Belfast.
Her poetry has been published by New England Review, Poetry Wales, Seaside Gothic, Propel Magazine, Berlin Lit, Banshee, Cyphers, Channel Magazine, Washing Windows Too anthology, Her Other Language anthology, York Literary Review, The Pickled Body, The Tangerine and others. Her non-fiction has been published by SOURCE Photographic Review, TULCA arts festival, the HU and others. She was a Poetry Ireland Introductions 2023 selectee and won the Red Line Book Festival Poetry Award 2021.
Susanna is the Project Editor of Abridged, with which she’s been involved since her teens. She is also currently a Researcher with SOURCE Photographic Review, and in the past has held several roles with the Verbal Arts Centre, Derry, as a Literary Guide, Programmer and a project officer for H.U.M.A.N. (the Honest Ulsterman Magazine Archive Network). She holds a BA (hons) in English Studies from Trinity College Dublin and an MA in History of Art from University of York. As a student she was an editor of Icarus Magazine and the Trinity Journal of LIterary Translation.
Susanna first became involved in Kids Own Publishing Partnership in 2021, working with the Young Writers group alongside Mary Branley, going on to write the forward to their publication Buoyant, 2023. Her first publication – a pamphlet of poetry written over two years living nowhere in particular in a small van – is forthcoming with Nine Pens Press, 2024.
