A Way to Thrive: Kids’ Own’s TAP+ Programme Publication

Kids’ Own is excited to present a special publication, A Way To Thrive, that highlights the incredible work of seven class groups and seven teacher-artist pairs from the Teacher Artist Partnership (TAP) programme during 2020-21. This initiative aimed to support participants in documenting their creative processes and provided mentoring to enrich their artistic journeys.

This publication offers a glimpse into collaborative arts practices in educational settings. The work, created through the TAP+ programme, demonstrates the power of arts and creativity in the classroom, fostering a sense of community and enhancing learning experiences.

The publication features interviews with teachers and artists about their collaborative experiences. They share insights into the value of arts in education, what it means to have a child-led process, and reflections on the initiative itself. The children’s voices and expressions are also captured, showcasing their creativity and the joy of learning through the arts.

We invite you to explore this inspiring publication, A Way To Thrive, which underscores the importance of arts and creativity in education. Discover the joy and innovation that come from meaningful collaborations between teachers and artists, and see how these partnerships enrich the school experience for young people.
