*Position Filled * Job Opportunity: Kids’ Own Office & Operations Administrator Fixed Term

Kids’ Own has an exciting opportunity for an organised and proactive individual to join our dynamic team as an Office & Operations Administrator (14 hours p/week, fixed-term).

Based at our office in Sligo town, the successful candidate will provide essential administrative and operational support to the organisation across our projects and programmes with children and young people, as well as supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the organisation.

This role will play an important part in supporting organisational coordination, governance, administration, and the effective functioning of a growing team.

The ideal candidate will be highly organised, proactive, and comfortable managing a varied workload within a small, collaborative organisation.

This is a part-time post based on a fixed-term 9-month contract (June 2026 – March 2027).

Reporting To

The Office & Operations Administrator will report to the Acting CEO.

Salary: €10,200 for the nine-month period (€34,000 p/annum pro rata).

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the organisation on an ongoing basis through duties including:

  • Be the first point of contact for all phone and email queries to the organisation
  • Oversee the smooth running of the office including purchasing of office supplies, waste management, liaising with service providers and assisting with new premises research.
  • Support the development and review of relevant policies with the CEO and Creative Director.
  • Publishing duties: Registering ISBNs, recording titles with Nielsen, legal deposits, and assisting with dissemination initiatives.
  • Supporting board administration and governance processes, including preparation of board materials and assistance with Charities Governance Code compliance
  • Support the Kids’ Own team more broadly; duties may include, collating of audience figures from activities, management of the team calendar, management of artist database and paperwork, scheduling of team meetings, management of petty cash, printing and filing of supplier invoices etc.

Duties may evolve in response to organisational priorities and operational needs.

Essential requirements

Applicants must have:

  • A relevant third-level qualification and/or relevant experience in administration, arts administration, operations, or a related field
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Competency with Office 365 and general office software
  • Familiarity with office management procedures and basic financial administration
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a small team
  • The ability to work from Kids’ Own’s office in Sligo town two days per week

Desirable but not essential

  • Knowledge of the arts, publishing and/or education sectors.
  • Knowledge of cloud file management systems.
