The Sligo Bookmaking Jamboree – A Cruinniú na nÓg Creative Experience with Kid’s Own

The Sligo Bookmaking Jamboree

A Cruinniú na nÓg Creative Experience

A day of stories, making, and imagination across Sligo Town with Kids’ Own.

Join us on June 6th for the Sligo Bookmaking Jamboree; a oneday, townwide celebration of creativity where children are invited to design, create, and bind their very own handmade books. Taking place across a range of welcoming public and community venues, this unique event transforms Sligo Town into a network of handson creativity stations led by professional artists.

Children can drop into different locations throughout the day, exploring storytelling, papermaking, collage, textiles, and bookbinding, and go home with pages (and ideas!) they’ve created themselves.

 Who is it for?

  • Age group: 4–11 years
  • Suitable for children who enjoy handson arts, stories, and creative play
  • All workshops are facilitated by experienced artists
  • One parent must attend session with child
