Opening on 7th February, our much-anticipated exhibition in Ballina Civic Centre will celebrate the creativity and collaboration of children from Attymass NS, County Mayo, and St. Colman’s PS, Annaclone, County Down, as part of the Cruinniú na nÓg Shared Island Project. This special event marks a key moment in the project, bringing young voices to the forefront through a dynamic showcase of their artwork. Attymass NS will attend in person, while Annaclone NS will join virtually.
School workshops will take place on 13th and 14th February, with opportunities for additional schools to get involved.
The gallery will be open to all on Thursday 20th and Friday 21st February—an ideal mid-term break activity for families.
In addition to the Shared Island project work, a selection from Kids’ Own’s larger TADA! exhibition will also be on display, giving visitors the chance to explore more creative contributions from young participants.
Thanks to Creative Ireland Cruinniú na nÓg Shared Island Initiative for supporting this project and our partners Mayo County Council and their Culture and Creativity Team.
Following the success of our meet-up day in Enniskillen, this exhibition will offer a unique opportunity to celebrate the young people’s creativity and their shared experiences. The Cruinniú na nÓg Shared Island Project has been an inspiring journey for the participants, allowing them to connect with one another through art and storytelling, and we are excited to see the results of their hard work and imagination.
Stay tuned for further details about the event. We would like to thank the children, teachers, and artists who have contributed to this meaningful project.
