And so it begins… Our 9-week after schools bookmaking programme with 3rd and 4th Class children has begun at The Model, Sligo! Every Wednesday we meet to further develop our ideas and to continue creating our very own hand-bound books, which will be exhibited at The Model as part of the Sligo Children’s Book Festival in March.
The project focuses on the bookmaking process from start to finish, from brainstorming and gathering ideas, to sketching, plotting, developing characters and storyline; writing, typing, editing, and printing, and finally… stitching and binding!
