Kids’ Own to speak at IBBY International Congress, London

Representatives from Kids’ Own Ireland and Kids’ Own Australia will be holding a joint presentation at the 2012 IBBY (International Board on Books for Young People) International Congress, London. Kids’ Own Ireland will be represented by Orla Kenny (creative director) and Kids’ Own Australia will be represented by Victoria Ryle (director).

The theme of the 2012 International Congress is Crossing Boundaries: Translations and Migrations. Orla and Victoria will be speaking about the wings of Kids’ Own that they are involved in, and the roles of the two companies specific to their locations. Orla will speak about technology and the upcoming app version of the Kids’ Own publication Wiggly Woo agus a Chairde. Victoria will be speaking about the publication of multi-lingual books in Australia which supports minority languages in the  country.

The congress will take place from the 23rd to the 26th of August, 2012. Further information on IBBY and the conference is available here.
