Fifty-six young people representing Ireland at the Experimenta! exhibition in Estonia

With two months to go until the opening of this European exhibition in Tallinn, Kids’ Own is delighted to announce that 56 young people from Ireland will have their work represented for an international audience.

Following our open call for submissions at the end of 2010, we have selected a variety of multimedia art works from digital photography, stop-frame animation, film, audio and drawing, made by young people in Dublin, Kilkenny, West Cork, County Roscommon and Belfast.

Ireland is one of 13 countries taking part in Eksperimenta!, which forms part of the programme for Tallinn as European City of Culture in 2011. The other participating countries are: Estonia, Portugal, Turkey, Finland, Latvia, Slovenia, Canada, Germany, Russia, Lithuania, South-Korea and Iceland. For more information about Eksperimenta!, click here to visit the website.

We will be travelling to Tallinn in Estonia at Easter, to install the exhibition in time for the official opening on 27th April. Watch this space for more updates!
