Announcing Éilís Murphy as Kids’ Own Administrator and Publishing Assistant!

Kids’ Own is delighted to welcome Éilís Murphy as the newest member of the team! We are looking forward to our first team meeting in person at the Kids’ Own office, whenever that might be.

Éilís is a bookbinder, visual artist and educator who graduated from NCAD in 2004 with a BA in Fine Art Print. Éilís is passionate about books and loves creating and helping others to create books as an accessible art form. In 2012, she studied Arts Development and Participation with Cork Institute of Technology and Mayfield Art Centre which opened up new ways of using participatory art to explore social issues. Since then she has designed and facilitated art projects with children and adults, both independently and with institutions such as the Design & Crafts Council Ireland, Helium Arts, National Print Museum and the National Museums of Ireland. Her work in the arts administration sector includes Graphic Studio Dublin (2015/16), Berlin Biennale (2010) and Breaking Ground Per Cent For Art Scheme, Ballymun (2007/08). As a bookbinder she has collaborated with other visual artists and writers to create artist’s books.
