Taunagh National School read Rebellion in the Village

Taunagh N.S. in Riverstown, Co. Sligo got in touch with us recently as they were interested in reading one of our books, Rebellion in the Village. Written by children in Scoil Ursula, Sligo Town together with writer Mary Branley, the novel was published by Kids’ Own in 2013.  As pupils in Taunagh N.S were recently studying the French Revolution and as Rebellion in the Village is set during that same period in history, Principal Linda McMahon was keen to engage her pupils with the novel.

Imelda Ryan-Jones, the newest member of the Kids’ Own team, visited the pupils on 1st February to deliver their books. Thank you to Principal Linda McMahon for her interest in Kids’ Own and thank you to the senior pupils from Taunagh N.S who want to share feedback with us. What a great way to start the count down to National Book Day on 3rd March! Watch this space for upcoming reviews…
