Outcomes of our work
Raising the status of children's work
The Kids' Own mission is to raise the status and value of children’s work to a wider audience.
Supporting artists to develop their practice working with children
A core part of all Kids’ Own work is to develop the skills of the professional artists working with children.
Using Technology in Creative Ways in Schools
The constantly evolving and varied software and creative digital tools provide a playful area where artists and teachers can leave their expertise behind, and learn alongside children.
Building intercultural understanding
Our intercultural ethos and approach has developed over the years of working with children on our ‘Unheard Voices’ series of books. It is firmly rooted in an equality framework of respecting and valuing childhood for all children.
Developing resources for minority languages
Since 2001, Kids' Own have been involved in developing books in minority languages and with those in marginalized cultures in Ireland. With a growing diversity in Ireland over recent years, this work has become even more important as a means to develop social cohesion in communities.
