‘Making Books, Sharing Stories’ social inclusion week workshops

Kids’ Own offers this special programme of workshops, as part of social inclusion week in County Mayo, for school children and families, exploring themes of being, belonging and place, through book-making, artwork and story-telling with writer Mary Branley and artist Vanya Lambrecht-Ward.

The workshops will take place in the Kids’ Own Travelling Library, which will tour to Ballina, Belmullet and Castlebar during social inclusion week.

Location, Dates & Times:

Weds 18th October – Ballina Library

  • 10-11.30am   School Group (1st class upwards)
  • 12.00-2pm     School Group (1st class upwards)

 

Thurs 19th October – Belmullet Library

  • 10-11.30am   School Group (1st class upwards)
  • 12.00-2pm     School Group (1st class upwards)

 

Friday 20th October – Castlebar Library

  • 10-11.30am   School Group (1st class upwards)
  • 12.00-2pm     School Group (1st class upwards)

 

Saturday 21st October – Castlebar Library

  • Public workshop (booking essential)  11-12.30am (6-9 year-olds)
  • Public workshop (booking essential)  2-4pm (10-12 year-olds)
