Join us for a month of literacy and creativity for children, families and schools across County Sligo this March as part of Sligo Children’s Book Festival 2018. Kids’ Own is on tour, bringing our archive of books to class groups across the county.

Would you like to generate a buzz around books in your school as part of the Sligo Children’s Book Festival? Schools are invited to spend a morning with writer Mary Branley and artist Vanya Lambrecht Ward exploring the canon of books by kids for kids, and developing their own work in response. Through this programme, we can engage 2–3 class groups per day.

2018 Festival
The Sligo Children’s Book Festival takes place each year in partnership with Kids’ Own, Hawk’s Well Theatre and The Model. This year’s festival runs from 2–31 March. Events include theatre, visual art, film, book-making and story-tellling, as part of our annual celebration of books and literature for children.
